Moore, Linda (née Carroll)

In Loving Memory of Linda Moore, who died April 20, 2023, with her family by her side. Loving wife of Jim Moore, mother to Janet O’Reilly (husband Tim, predeceased), grandmother to baby Keegan (predeceased), Jessica (husband Christopher) and Shannon. Mother to Karen (husband Jim), grandmother to Mary-Katherine, Noah, and William. Mother to Jamie (wife Trisha), grandmother to Michael (fiancée Sara Anne) Kaylee and Cori.

Happiest when at home, Linda enjoyed simple pleasures in life. Always happy to ‘get the news’ and ‘hear the news’. So proud of her 2 daughters and one son. Particularly proud of her grandchildren and closely followed their interests and accomplishments.

Before retirement, alongside her husband Jim she owned, managed, and expanded Grundy Lake Supply Post, a thriving business and family legacy. Easy to please, she was attuned to and appreciative of the gifts and beauty of nature. Thank you to the birds and chipmunks who arrived in the backyard early this year. Her infectious laugh will be missed, and her recipes will be enjoyed and shared at our tables for years to come.

Always focused on those around her, Linda remained without complaint throughout her long and brave battle with her health.  She has now joined her beloved son-in-law Tim and her cherished sister and best friend Grace, both predeceased.

A heartfelt thank you to those at Maison McCulloch Hospice for the exceptional care she received.

Family will gather for a graveside service and private celebration later this spring.

“Tomorrow will be better”.
