FAQ

Q?

What do I do when a death has occurred?

A.

It is the responsibility of a family member to contact us to advise us of the death and we can assist you with your needs.

Q?

Is your company a funeral home?

A.

No, we are an alternative to a funeral home known as a "transfer service". We are still licensed by the Board of Funeral Services and staffed by licensed funeral directors.

Q?

How are you different from a funeral home?

A.

We do not offer traditional funeral services such as embalming and visitation. We do however offer direct cremation and direct burial services.

Q?

Is it necessary to have a casket for cremation?

A.

No it is not necessary but by law the crematorium would require that the body be placed in a combustible container made of either wood or cardboard.

Q?

A.

No, embalming is not required in the Province of Ontario.

Q?

Is an urn required?

A.
