In loving memory of Hermance (Helen) Laurin-Durocher (nee Faubert) who passed away 3 weeks short of her 90th birthday at the Elizabeth Centre on Thursday, December 6, 2018. Predeceased by her husbands Lucien Laurin and Gerald Durocher. Loving mother of Louise McInnis (Kim), Diane and Ronald both predeceased. Cherished grandmother to Lindsay, Lisa (Al), Josh, Keith, Leeanne (Kirby) and Michelle (predeceased). Loving great-grandmother to Alexie, Alissa, Chloe, Alaina, Nicholas, Meagan and Matthew. Dear daughter of the late Noe and Florida Faubert. She leaves behind her siblings Rejean (Therese), Lorraine Charbonneau (Richard) and Claudette Castonguay (Gilles). Predeceased by her brothers Gerard, Clement and Richard. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name and would be appreciated.

Think of Helen frequently. She treated me like a daughter, not a stepdaughter.

It had been many years since I saw mémé. Probably when I came to bury my mothers ashes with my grampa Gerry’s. This saddens me deeply. I have very fond memories of her growing up and I still have all the hand written letters she wrote me over the years.
