Bushey, Kevin

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that the family of Kevin Bushey announces his sudden passing on Friday, May 17, 2024. Kevin leaves behind the love of his life Stephanie and his three beautiful children Samantha (Lee), Jillian, and Davis. He was so proud of his kids and his love for his family was perhaps his most notable characteristic.

Kevin is survived by his parents Lawrence (Marilyn), and Judy (Doug), siblings Dwayne (Lyn), Jodie (Phil), and Christopher. As well as his step siblings, Melissa (Jason), and Jeff.

He will be dearly missed by Stephanie’s family. Son-in-law to Rochelle and Bernard (pre-deceased), and brother-in-law to Jim, Andrew, Allison (Mike), Kerry (Tony) and Mark (Karen).

He will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. With an extensive circle of friends too numerous to name, we know that Kevin’s memory will be deeply cherished by all who knew him, especially those who are considered family.

Kevin was a talented carpenter, diehard Leaf’s fan, avid golfer, fisherman and curler, and was always happy to try something new. He will forever be remembered as the life of the party, the man who gave the tightest hugs, and would be there whenever you needed him (maybe not on time). His spirit will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will be held at the Copper Cliff Curling Club at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a charitable organization of your choice in Kevin’s memory.

  3. I am truly saddened to hear of Kevin’s passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all!! I have only seen him a hand full of times since we both left home so many years ago. Our trips home to Danville just never seem to be at the same time I guess. But, I can say that Kevin was my first and oldest friend. The last time we saw each other, he was at the farm helping with a renovation on the house with his Dad. He and I were able to grab some pizza and catch up for a bit. It was just like time had stood still and we had just been together the day before…. It was awesome to hear all about his life and family with his infectious laugh and proud smile while telling me all about you. Kevin was a good man and he loved his family all very much!!
