Vachon, Rosane (née Daoust)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Rosane Vachon, aged 89. She passed peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Health Sciences North with loving family at her side.

Cherished wife of Pierre Vachon of 68 years. Loving mother to Claudette (Marcel), Marcel, Oscar (Predeceased), Denise, Sylvio (Colette), Suzanne, Carole, Constance (Chris) and Claude (Theresa). Dearly loved by her 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Dear daughter of the late Eugene (Joe) and Gertrude (née Larabie) Daoust. Rosane will be missed by her brothers and sisters. She has taught us all the patience and grace to be strong when things are hard, to have kindness and gentleness when things are negative, and that life is life and all we can do is go by one day at a time and make the best of it. She is the captain of an army of amazing people that will go on remembering the touch she put on each one of our souls until we see her again. She will forever go down in history for being the most badass bingo slayer of all times. An Angel on earth and now is an Angel in heaven who will always be in our hearts. There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Donations can be made directly to the Sudbury area Food Banks.

Gord & I want to send our sincere condolences on the passing of your mom! Hoping this poem helps on those sad days! 😘

Miss me but let me go by Christina Rossetti

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little–but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me–but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me–But Let me Go!
