In loving memory of Brian “Rattles” Syvanen who passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the age of 64 years. Adored father of Kyle and Kaitlin Syvanen (Mario Gingras). Cherished grandfather of Laci and Laila. Loving brother of David Syvanen (Wendy), uncle to Karl and Sara (Trevor). Born on September 27, 1956 in Sudbury, he was the son of the late Mertsi and Gladys Syvanen (nee Stenrose). Brian retired after 30 years of service as a miner at Falconbridge and then drove truck for Rintala Construction for many years after. In Rattle’s early years he enjoyed drag racing, hunting, fishing, camping at Guse’s Island and Lake Panache but his favorite pastime was taking “joy rides” in his 1973 Plymouth Duster. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service, cremation has taken place.

Kyle and Kaitlin, you have the support and love from all those close to you and your Dad will forever be with you.
