Sweeting, Michael Kevin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Kevin Sweeting at the age of 57 after a long and hard fought battle against cancer. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Amanda Sweeting, his two daughters, Cindy Jenkinson and husband Justin and Kasey-Lyn Seaward and life partner Kyle Johnston, his three sons Tyler Sweeting and life partner Jen Landry, Christopher Sweeting and Shaun Seaward and life partner Roxxy Vansteene. He was a loving grandfather (Pipa) to Eva Seaward-Johnston. He will be greatly missed by his beloved husky CoCo and his fat s***t (smudgy the cat). He was predeceased by his loving aunt (granny) Betty Roy. Mike was a wonderful, hardworking man who worked in many mines all over the world and was deeply loved, respected and influential to all his fellow miners. Not only was he devoted to his family, but also to his mining career. He touched the life of every person he met in one way or another and will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace. There will be no wake or funeral as his wishes were to be cremated and have a celebration of life.

  4. There will not be a single day that will go by that I will not think of you. I know that you will be with me wherever I go. As I sit here missing you, I think back to my wedding day. Im so grateful that you were strong enough to walk me down the isle and dance with me that evening. Our father daughter dance said it all:
    “I’m already there
    Take a look around
I’m the sunshine in your hair
I’m the shadow on the ground
I’m the whisper in the wind
    I’m your imaginary friend
And I know, I’m in your prayers”
Growing up with you on the road or in another city, this song reassured me that you were always near by. When I would miss you I would play this song and feel comfort knowing that you were always with me no matter what. Now that you’re gone, I know how much this song had meaning for us. Growing up, you always called me your angel, the day has come where you are now my angel. You were one truly extraordinary man, the strength you had in the last year and a half was beyond compare. Rest easy daddy, you will forever be my angel.
