Passed away suddenly near his home in Lively on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Marlyn. Loving father of Moe Jr. and his wife Kim, Kim Lachapelle (Rob Laroque) and Tina-Marie Rowe-Sabourin. Proud pépère of Francis (Jamie) Lachapelle, Joey Lachapelle, Alex Rowe, Scott Sabourin, Bradley Rowe and Jessica Rowe. Adoring great grandfather of Willow Lachapelle. Cherished brother of Therese (nee Sabourin), predeceased in 2017 (Pat) Marsh, Donald (Rona) Sabourin, Rhéal (Joyce) Sabourin and Gisèle (Peter) Charette. Dear uncle of Kevin Marsh, Stacey Cornforth (Marsh), Tom Sabourin, Nicki Paventi (Sabourin), Daryl Peter Charette, Tanya-Eve Woodley (Charette), Steve Sabourin and Cheryl Sabourin. Moe will be sadly missed by the staff members, friends and golf partners at the Lively Golf and Country Club.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to J.F. for his assistance and the good Samaritans that worked hard to keep Moe alive until EMS arrived, to the EMTs that cared for him and also to Health Sciences North Emergency for their understanding and professionalism.
As per Moe’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services.
A Celebration of Moe’s Life will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 4:00 p.m. at the Lively Golf Club (305-A 6th Ave, Lively, ON) on the upper floor. All family and friends are invited, please come prepared as there will be an open mic.
If desired, donations may be made directly to a charity of your choice in Moe’s name and would be appreciated by the family.
