Pellerin, Gervaise (née Desjardins)

Gervaise Pellerin, 80 years passed away peacefully at Extendicare York Nursing Home, Sudbury on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Jacques Pellerin. Loving mother of Guy (Dina), Lise (Richard), Diane, and Jean (Martha). Cherished grandmother of Trina (Derek), Trevor (Karen), Kyle, Kortney, Kendell, Sasha, John (Ilona), Janique (Cruise), Elisha (Steve), Tricia (Ken), and great-grandmother of Julian, Nya, Emma, Chance, Parker, Nicole, Amber, Madison, Lealla and Sebastian. Born in Temiscaming, QC she was the daughter of the late Jean and Liana (Séguin) Desjardins. Dearly loved sister of Jean-Guy (Paulette - predeceased), Marie (Frank - predeceased), Normand (Denise), Galand (predeceased) (Bev), Donat (predeceased), Richard (predeceased) (Lise), Claude (predeceased) (Lucette), and Jacques (predeceased) (Claire). She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family members from the Pellerin and Desjardins family. Gervaise was an independent, resilient, and caring woman who found joy in expressing herself creatively. Whether it was cooking, cross stitch, knitting or handmade greeting cards, sharing them with family and friends was an important way for her to show her love and affection. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Extendicare York Nursing Home. In keeping with Gervaise’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made directly to the CNIB or to a charity of your choice.
