It is with mixed emotions that our family announces the passing of Léo Patry, 85 years on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of 63 years to Emelda (née Landry). Loving father of Marcel and Denise McGee (Ray - predeceased). Cherished grandfather of Crystal McGee (Derek Bazinet) and Kayla McGee (Chris Auger). Born in Algoma and raised in Dalton, he was the son of the late Remi and Cecilia (née Michaud) Patry. Predeceased by his brother Ronald and sister Rita Simard and survived by his sister June Raymond. Léo retired from INCO in 1976 after 30 years of dedicated service. An avid outdoorsman in his younger days who enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Some of his greatest joys and memories in life came from the times he was able to spend with family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Paroisse St Joseph, 3594 Errington Ave, Chelmsford on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Northern Cancer Foundation in Léo’s memory.
