Neeley, Howard (Howie)

We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Howard (Howie) George Neeley on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Maison McCulloch Hospice at the age of 74 years.

Howie is now reunited with his parents, the late Mary (nee St. John) and the late Alver Neeley, and his brothers, the late Roger (Linda) and the late Gerald (Darlene).

He is survived by his wife Lorraine (nee Carriere) and children Tracy, Bryan (Manon), Dan (Christina), Linda (Rick) and Andre (Rachel), as well as his siblings, Peggy (the late Robert Lemieux), Sharon, John (Donna) and Walter (Mary Anne).

Howie adored and was very much loved by his 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, who will always remember his playfulness, generosity, and storytelling.

An INCO employee for over 30 years, Howie was known in the community for his sense of humour and for being someone you could count on. Once retired, he became a school bus driver, which gave him a great amount of pleasure. He loved to barbecue (summer or winter), play cards, do crossword and sudoku puzzles, and work with his tools.

Howie will be fondly remembered by many family members and friends. May he rest in peace and his memory live on forever.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Paroisse St-Agnes, Azilda at a date to be determined.

A special thank you to the hospice care team at the Maison McCulloch Hospice. Thank you for the dedication to your work and to your patients. Everyone was so warm, caring and loving.

If desired, donations may be made to Maison McCulloch Hospice https://maisonsudburyhospice.org/donate/ or the Canadian Diabetes Association in Howie's name. http://surl.li/eusin
