Evans, Catherine Miriam (nee Williams)

Our wonderful Catherine passed unexpectedly in the comforts of her home Saturday, June 27, 2020. She was the daughter of Richard and Jean (nee Kervin) Williams. She was survived by her husband Mark, sons Matthew (Mallory), Greg (Erica), Patrick (Jacqueline); sisters Karan (Gary) Phippard, Lynda (Reg) Lefrancois, Deborah (Grant) Vipond, her grandson Benjamin, and many nieces and nephews. Catherine’s love for her family and friends lit up rooms, and overflowed into our hearts. She passionately traveled the world, and translated the beauty of her soul into the paintings she loved to create for her loved ones. Her singing, love of gardening, and cooking kept our ears entertained, our home lusciously bountiful, and our bellies as full as the love within her. Catherine was an avid reader, always having a novel within her reach. Catherine visited 58 countries in her travels, and had plans for so many more.  She glowed at the sight or sound of her only grandson, and her spirit will be missed by everyone she touched. To honour the memory of Catherine, an outside celebration of life will take place on July 4th, from 2-5 pm. Contact family members for details. In lieu of donations and flowers, please be kind, caring, understanding and compassionate in Catherine’s memory.  Please cherish your time, and travel more.

  2. Catherine was a wonderful asset to our lake community. She served Us so well as president of our camp road association.. Catherine’s work was appreciated and was always Admired and respected in her role as president. She dealt with matters professionally, promptly and always fairly. We all hoped she would continue to serve us forever. We are forever grateful for her diligence and hard work. As well her kindness, understanding, and loving nature.
She was also a special friend who gave me advice about travel, studying spanish, cooking and gardening. We miss her terribly. She will never be forgotten.

  3. Sending my condolences to you and all of your family on the loss of Catherine. It is so ironic that I met her barely two months ago in one of the most chance encounters ever. I was struck by the warmth and kindness she extended towards me. I wish you strength in the days ahead, and sending prayers your way.
