Dow, Catherine (née Lee)

March 30th, 1949 – August 12th, 2022

Dear Lord, it is with a heavy heart and a strange peacefulness, the passing of our sister Cathy. You are in for a treat as she is a caring individual that loved life to the fullest, a bottle of wine and above all her family.  Hope you are ready  for this unique individual. Wife of Richard (Dick) Dow III (predeceased). Daughter of Ernest Lee and Jean Reddington (both predeceased), Judy Hoare (Orville), Terry (Clemence), Doug (Nancy) , Dave (Lynda), Rick (predeceased), Steve (Michelle). Cathy worked for a local cable company for many years as a personal secretary to Paul Marleau until she retired. Cathy was a fantastic cook and enjoyed entertaining.  When you went to dinner at her house you knew you were there to dine not eat.  She also enjoyed boating and was a member of the Sudbury Power Squadron. We will miss you always.  RIP Cathy….no more pain. As per Cathy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

3 Condolences

  1. To the Lee Family: I just learned of Cathy’s passing and am so very sorry for your loss (I have a heavy heart). Cathy and I were friends for almost 60 years and, even though we did not speak on a regular basis, whenever we called it felt like we had just spoken the week before. In fact, when I last spoke to Cathy in July we talked about me coming to visit. I will cherish my memories of Cathy as she loved life to the fullest, her laughter was contagious and she was a truly wonderful individual. Again, my most sincere condolences.

  2. Cathy’s Family
I’m so sorry to learn of Cathy’s death. I have many special memories of great social event Sylvia and I spent with Dick and Cathy. The two of us always bantered back and forth this often brought out that very wonderful and contagious laugh of hers. I send my thoughts and prayers. I know Sylvia, Dick and Cathy will continue laughing in Heaven.

  3. Condolences to Cathy’s family. We sure had some good times boating with her and Dick. She was the most pleasant and funny person I knew. There were good times to be had when she was there.
