Bedard, Alice (nee Charlebois)1943-2021

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Bedard (nee Charlebois), while at home surrounded by her loving family on March 27, 2021 at the age of 77yrs, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her precious daughter Vivianne Rankin (nee Bedard) (Doug Rankin), father Delphis Charlebois and mother Alice Charlebois (nee Raymond) and brothers (Pete, Gerry, and Eugene). She leaves behind her loving sister Arthemise Prieur (nee Charlebois). She maintained a loving relationship with her previous husband Leon Bedard and wife Jeanine. She will remain forever in the hearts of her children Daniel (Tara), Donald, Lee-Anne (Pierre), and her grandson who she considered her fifth child Andrew (Taylor). She was known affectionately as “Granny or Memere” to many, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Michelle, Samantha, Stephanie, Annie, Jordan, Donald Jr. (Taynia), Angus (Crystal-Lee), Dylan, Seth, Mia, Elizabeth and Everly. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She had a special place in her heart for her sisters in law (Eleanor, Jeanette, Jackie, Alice, Diane and Linda).  Alice was a proud Garson girl and loved spending many summers in Nepewassi during her younger years. She was the most caring, loving, and thoughtful lady whose passion was her family. She always had a good story to tell and would do almost anything for a good laugh. She loved helping others and enjoyed working as a health care aid and continued on and graduated as a social worker and organized the first Parkinson’s support group in Sudbury. She enjoyed any social activity, especially when there was music, dancing and people involved.   Her other hobbies included knitting, gardening, fishing, reading, and making sure her family was well fed. She devoted her life to her family and to the Lord. Alice was a gentle soul with a heart of gold and a smile that would light up any room, she is the reason we always say I love you every time we say goodbye.  The family wishes to thank Dr. Notman, Dr.Cano, and her psw’s and nurses’ that provided such wonderful care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We Love You Mom
