Welsh, Marcia Marie  (née Gray)

(September 27, 1953 – July 19, 2023)

Born in Mount Forest, ON Marcia moved with her family Wm. Stafford Gray (predeceased) and Pearl (née Wilson) (Gray) (Reemeyer), brothers William (Wendy) (Ann Marie), James (Bonita) (Dorothy), Kenneth (Darlene) (Linda), Daniel (Helga), and sister Myrna (JP Bechamp) to Britt, ON, where she attended school,  furthering her education at Parry Sound High School.  She also pursued her RPN in Parry Sound and earned her honours degree at the New Liskeard School of Agriculture.  She held many jobs over the course of her life, her favourite involving horses, a love she held throughout the years, owning many of her own at various times and locations. Her final working years were spent at the Sudbury taxation centre, keeping in touch with friends even after retirement.  Always an avid knitter/crocheter she created many unique items which she sold or gave away to friends and family.  Special thank you to her “partner in crime” Vera and husband Denis for always being there.  Beloved wife of the late Ronald Welsh (predeceased 2014). Marcia had no children of her own but treated all of her nieces and nephews as if they were.  Cheryl (Mark), Stephanie (Jeff), James (Meagan), Symone (Chris), Natasha (Roger), Adam (Jasmine), Matthew, Eric (Meagan), Natascha (Mike), Jasmine, Ashley (Ben), Selina (aka Chris) (Milo) along with their families and friends.

Marcia will be missed by family and friends from near and far.  Thank you all for being part of her life and memories.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. All are welcome. Feel free to make a donation in her name to the charity of your choice.
