Villeneuve, Carole

Carole Villeneuve, 63, of Elliot Lake passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024 at Health Sciences North. Carole grew up in Sudbury and worked at the CRA for years. She never turned down a card game and had a way with people that made them laugh.  Carole will be dearly missed and always remembered.  A big thank you to the staff at Amberwood Suites and HSN for the care and support they provided for her.

Carole was predeceased by her parents Leo and Marguerite Villeneuve (nee Denis), by her sister Lisa Amyotte and her sister and brother-in-law Joanne and Ray Racine as well.  She is survived by her son Ryan (Cassandra) Gilchrist and her granddaughter Emilie. She is also survived by her brother Guy (Louise) Villeneuve, sister Diane (Dave) Fram and brother-in-law Carl Amyotte along with the many nieces and nephews and her close friends Joanne and Neal Pacaud.

Carole requested a Celebration of Life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services which will be held at a later date.

  1. Our sincere condolences to all of Carole’s family. We know that she will be greatly missed. When Carole and I first met there was an instant connection, similar to the one felt by longtime friends. Neil and I were always welcome no matter where she was living. We took a lot of road trips together which we really enjoyed. We were blessed to have a great circle of friends and will fondly remember the good times we shared. Rest easy Carole till we meet again.
    With love and much sadness,
    Joanne and Neil Pacaud.
