It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Carmen Vachon (née Brouillette), a devoted wife, caretaker, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend, who passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at the age of 77.
Beloved wife of the late Normand Vachon. Cherished mother of Julie (Alain), Nathalie (André), and Eric (Olivier). Adored grand-maman of Alec, Lexine, Samuel, and Janelle.
Dear daughter of Albert and Germaine Brouillette (née Piette), both predeceased. Dear sister of Normand (Rachelle, predeceased); Rhéal (Gaëtanne, predeceased); Jeanne (France, predeceased); Gaëtanne (Émilien); Lorraine (twin); Yollande (Jean-Guy); and the late Andrée (Normand). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Her absence will be deeply felt by her cherished friend and confidante, Michelle Renaud and many cherished friends.
Carmen will be remembered for her kindness, strength, support, and grace, and for the importance she placed on spending time with family. Her legacy is the warmth and love she instilled in her family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Finlandia and St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre Of Sudbury who attended to her care and needs. Your compassion and kindness are greatly appreciated.
In keeping with her wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at Sainte-Marguerite-d’Youville Church in Val Thérèse on Monday, April 6, at 10:00a.m. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior for a memorial visitation beginning at 9:00a.m.
Donations in her memory may be made directly to Le Rendez-vous de Vallée Est, Centre Victoria pour femmes (Sudbury), or Le Club Amical du Nouveau Sudbury.
