It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Thomson, at the age of 94. Ronald was the beloved husband of Dorothy, the love of his life, for almost 72 years. Their life together was filled with love, family, laughter, and many wonderful memories. They were fortunate to share so many years together, and Dorothy was always at the heart of Ron’s life. Ron was a loving father to Lisa and her spouse, Chris, and a proud grandfather to Jason, Sara and Andrew, and Zak and Tali. He was a cherished great-grandfather to Ivy and Margot, who brought him so much joy. Ron spent his entire working life at Bell Canada before retiring 40 years ago. Retirement gave him the opportunity to enjoy the life he had worked so hard for, especially his love of fishing and time spent with family. He also adored their beloved dog, Charlie, who was a special part of their lives. Ron was a great man who was kind, loving, hardworking, and devoted to his family. He lived a long and wonderful life, surrounded by the people and things he loved most. He will be deeply missed by Dorothy, his family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Collingwood this fall.

I’m so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. My husband worked under him for many years and found him to be an amazing manager. He and Dorothy hosted several parties in their home and were the kindest people. He is definitely in Heaven.
