In loving memory of Randy Taylor, 75, who passed away Tuesday, June 16th, 2026.
Randy was the loving husband of Christine Taylor (nee Chayka), married for 55 years. Son of Walter Taylor (predeceased) and Betty Taylor (nee Fournier)(predeceased). Devoted brother to Glenn Taylor (Joce Taylor). Wonderful father to Shane Taylor (Desneige Taylor) and Terri Taylor (Russell Teetaert). Loving grandfather to Chayka McInnis, Ysabel Taylor (Kobie McGregor), Aidan Taylor, and Tyler McInnis. Also, a fun family man to his many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and his pal and cousin Ed Mitchell.
Randy loved living on the water (Lake Nipissing) as fishing was his passion. He lived a full life travelling the world with his beloved wife Christine. The most cherished memories Randy shared were with his grandchildren and family. Randy’s other fondly shared memories were his travels with Christine. Together they visited Australia, China, Egypt, France, England, Marrakesh, Italy, Tibet, Spain…and the list goes on.
Randy filled the room with his laughter and presence, as he was one of a kind. Randy was an exceptional bowler, and loved “Friday couples night” as well as “Monday Night Mens” bowling in his younger days. Randy was a union organizer who fought for the rights of people, many of whom never knew the contributions and sacrifices he made.
Randy was always at peace on the lake, and taught generations of his family how to fish and share his love for nature. He was always trying to catch that whopper fish, and the kids will always try to catch the whopper in honour of his memory.
Randy was a kind, strong, charismatic man, husband, father, and grandfather. He was unquestionably loved, and gave back kindness and love to everyone he knew. Randy lived a good life and will be missed by those who knew him.
Randy’s family would also like to thank the West Nipissing General Hospital Staff for the dedication and kindness he received. A celebration of life will be arranged later this year.
