Taylor, Laura Lee Joan (nee Thomas)

Passed away peacefully, Friday, October 14th, 2022 at Health Sciences North at the young age of 60.  Left to mourn her, are her very loving mother and stepfather, Marge and Norm Martin. Predeceased by her Father Frank Thomas. Loving children Shawna Taylor (Charlie) and Jesse Taylor (Kierstyn). Grandchildren Mason, Ethan, Elizabeth, & Benjamin.  

She will be missed by many cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.

Laura was a devout employee of Hatch Engineering LTD. for many years and will be sorely missed by her team, who she considered to be family.

Laura was a loving and gentle soul spending her years loving all things Christmas, flowers and shopping. She enjoyed her many travels everywhere from most of Canada to Las Vegas to Greece and as far as Germany.

The family would like to express their utmost appreciation for the HSN 6th Floor South Staff for their exceptional care and kindness during Laura’s time of need.

As per Laura’s wishes, there will be no service. Donations can be made to the grandchildren’s education fund via GFM @

    I am so sorry to hear of Laura’s passing. You two were more like sisters & best friends than mother & daughter. I have many fond memories of spending lots of good times with the whole Thomas family. Poor Frankie didn’t stand a chance with us!
