On July 8th, 2026 I lost my wife Linda, the love of my life for 55 years, married 52 years. She is survived by her husband Ellis Swarbrick, and their three children: Amanda (husband Adam), Adam (wife Marie), and Jesse (fiancée Jessy). Cherished grandmother of Carter, Oliver, Aubrey, and Christy (partner John) and great grandson Xander. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Sally Sigety, and her sister Shirley (husband Monty). Linda will be sadly missed by her brothers in law Monty and Wayne, and her nieces and nephews Todd, Melissa, Jennifer, Barry (Brandy), and Barbra Anne (Mike).
Linda had many careers in her life, including Property Tax Assessor, Bank Teller, and Insurance Sales, ending as a personal support worker, which she loved. Her hobbies included gardening and cooking, picking blueberries and pies to give to friends and neighbours. She loved her pet dogs.
I want to thank Marie for her many visits while Linda was at HSN; Jessy for her many cooked suppers and being with Linda during her final days; Adam (Amanda’s husband) for coming to give us comfort while Linda was in the ICU, and also in her final days; Amanda for her many visits and staying with her mother at Pioneer Manor, sleeping with her so she would not be alone until her end. Finally, thanks to the staff of the Scenic Wing at Pioneer Manor, the nurses and PSWs who took care of her throughout her stay.
