January 13, 1957-December 3, 2021
It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our brother Sean. Sean peacefully passed away on December 3rd, 2021, at Health Sciences North Palliative Care Unit. He is predeceased by his parents, Leonard & Laura St Jean, his brothers Brian and Wayne and his sister Cynthia. Sean leaves behind a brother Dennis (predeceased Anita) in Sudbury, Maury (Maggie) in Winnipeg and his sister Rochelle (Jim) in Ottawa. Sean had a number of nieces and nephews, Andrew, Lori Ann, Lana, Barry, Janice, Danny, Patrick & Sharilyn. He was known to many people in Sudbury. He loved a glass of fine wine and was at home talking about various types of wine and their origin. He was an avid cyclist and walker and worked hard at gardening. He always enjoyed eating and sharing the produce from his garden. Ever the conversationalist, Sean always had a good story (or yarn) and always expounded on his knowledge of wine, WWII battles and all-around history. As was mentioned previously, Sean knew many people from various walks of life but none closer to him than his very good friends from his high school days, who stayed close all these many years. We who knew him best, lift a glass in his honor and will remember his smiling face and red hair with memories to spare.
Sad news, just got an email from another “deck buddy” (we did big bbq’s at my place on Maple St. over the years), as I am out of the country. Sean also put on bbq events at his place over the years. We met at a wine tasting on Notre Dame Ave. back in the early 90’s, me having just moved back to Sudbury. Our “group” is doing an International On-line Hoist a Pint event later this week. My condolences to the family, especially Dennis, who I have seen over the years, as well as Wayne, now also gone. – Esa aka ET
