In Memory of Phil Smith Jr., 80 years, who passed away on April 12th, 2023. Beloved husband of Lelith A. Lasola. Loving father of Jamie (Michelle), Justin (Babs) and Jeremy all of Sudbury. Loved by his grandchildren Sarah and Tyler. Dear brother of Carolyn (George) Whiting and Christine (Art) Tworo. Sadly missed by several nephews and nieces.
Phil worked for INCO from 1965 to 1975 in the Copper Refinery, Test Center, and Clarabelle Mill. He next joined his father at Sonic Northern Ltd. He enjoyed his times skiing with his boys at Adanac Laurentian Ski Club, sailing at the Sudbury Yacht Club, Curling at the Idylwylde Golf and Curling club as well as riding his Harley during his time with the Sudbury Chapter of the Harley Owners Group. He enjoyed a full life. At his request, there will be no service; instead, he requests a toast in his name at your pleasure. The family would like to thank the Emergency Doctors and Nurses, CMU Doctors and Nurses, Respiratory Therapist Personnel and Doctor Angelo Dave Javier.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 27th, 2023 at The Daventry Kitchen and Bar, 1500 Regent Street South, Sudbury, ON.
