Surrounded by the love of his family, Paul Siren, 86 years, passed away peacefully at St. Gabriel Villa on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Born in Finland, he immigrated to Canada as a child settling in Garson with his parents Eero and Anna (Kekalainen) Siren (both predeceased). Beloved husband of 60 years to Sheila (née Brodie) Siren. Loving father of Lisa Rinaldi (Rico) and Scott Siren (Mary-Lynne). Cherished grandfather of Anthony and Ryan Rinaldi, Brodie, and Graeme Siren. Dearly loved brother of Reino Siren -predeceased (Jacqueline), Lea Christensen, and brother-in-law to Colin and Claire Brodie, Phyllis, and Keith Urbshott (predeceased), John and Alice Brodie (predeceased), and Maxwell Creaser (predeceased). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, and friends. Paul retired from INCO – Mines Research –Standards after many years of dedicated service. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to golf, downhill ski and spend time with family and friends at Lake Wanapitei. Community minded, he was a proud member of the Garson Lions Club. The family would like to extend a warm thankyou to the wonderful and caring Staff at St. Gabriel Villa for their compassion and care provided to Paul. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory can be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society.

I am saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. I will always cherish the memories I have of summers at the Siren compound on Lake Wanapatei with my best friend and brother Mark Siren, Paul and Scott. Paul is one of the nicest men I’ve ever met in my lifetime. My sincerest condolences to Sheila and Scott. My thoughts are of you at this time.

Kim and I would like to pass on our deepest sympathies to Sheila and to Scott and Lisa and the rest of the Siren family. My memories of Paul were of a kind and quiet soul, who had a dry wit and great sense of humour. He will be truly missed.
