  1. Chris, Kim and Steve, my deepest condolences on the loss of your mum. Gloria was a dear, dear friend to me. I first met her in 1999, when I lived in Sudbury. (In fact, it was her sweet ginger cat, Purrkins, who introduced us!) For years, we used to get together every Sunday for tea; and when it was at her apartment, she always had a wonderful selection of home-made baking to go along with it. After I moved, we called one another every week or two to keep in touch. Gloria had the most wonderful sense of humour and could turn even everyday incidents into hilariously funny anecdotes. She would always regale me with stories of her daily life or her youth in England, recounted in her delightful English accent. I never tired of hearing about what was happening in her life. I will miss her greatly.
