Passed peacefully, surrounded by his family at Health Sciences North on Thursday, June 23, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer, in his 74th year.
Beloved husband of Sherry Shuart. Loving father of Carrie Rose of St. Catharines, Neil (Diana) of Toronto, Sandra Ranger (Jeff) of London and Timmy Ranger (Crystal) of Sudbury. Proud grandfather of Maija, Matthew, Levi, Isla and Eila. Dear brother of Rick (predeceased 2003) (Jean), Christine Roberts (Sheldon), Doug (Donna) and Terry Wood (Wayne).
Don retired from the Greater City of Sudbury with 45 years of service. Other than spending time with family and friends, Don enjoyed the company of his dogs, camping, loved his Blue Jays and reading crime novels. Don had a great sense of humor and a passion to live.
Don will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A private family interment will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
If desired, donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation in Don’s memory.
Our hearts are with you Sherry and your family. Having known Don for a short two years, I will cherish our time on the patio and always be grateful for the tools he lent us.

We both met Don thru being good friends with Doug & Donna.
Don had such a great sense of humour!! We had the pleasure
of camping with everyone on Manitoulin in 2009. Such great
memories! Our deepest condolences go out to Sherry and all
the family in this sad time. He will be truly missed.
