A Celebration of Melissa’s Life will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the family residence.
Passed away peacefully with family by her side after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the age of 38 years at the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
Beloved wife to Beau for 13 years (together for 16). Melissa endured everything during her cancer journey for the raw, pure love she had for her son, Tristan, she cherished every moment with him. Revered daughter of Andrea Bacon and Daniel MacLeod. Dear sister of Justin (Lindsay) MacLeod. Melissa will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, God-mother/great aunt, many friends and her YACC family.
The family wishes to express Many thanks to the staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice and the folks at YACC for the kindness, care and support provided, to Adam Moore, who never says “no” and was always there to help any way he could. You will never know how much comfort your words and assistance have meant to us, we will always remember that.

Northern Ontario Cancer Retreat is so sorry to hear about the passing of Melissa. She was a special voice that we were privileged to share in our Winter survivor series during the pandemic on Instagram. We’re sure she inspired many people with her journey with cancer. We hope she’s resting in peace and we’re sending warm wishes to her family and friends.
