It is with sadness that the family of George Russell announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the age of 84.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Minnie Russell (O’Brien) as well as his siblings Alfie (Vivian), Albert, James, Judy, Archie, Alan (Bertha), Mae, Paul, and Richard (Dorothy). George is survived by Peter, Shirley, Patricia and Kevin (Nicky), as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
George was a gentle soul who loved strumming his guitar, listening to country music, arts & crafts, and activities at Pioneer Manor and enjoying his Timmies coffee and a sweet treat.
We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Pioneer Manor along with the workers from Sudbury Community Service Centre for their kindness and exceptional care that was provided for George.
In keeping with the family’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside gathering will take place at a later date at the Pinehill Cemetery, Markstay.
