Roy, Venance “Vince”

March 13, 1936 – April 28, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Vince Roy on April 28th, 2025, at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario, at the age of 89.

Born on March 13, 1936, in French River, Ontario, Vince was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend to many. At the age of 23, he met the love of his life — a young widow with two children. They married and went on to have three beautiful daughters together, building a loving and strong family. After the passing of his beloved wife, Marcelle, Vince found companionship with Roseanne, who embraced and loved his family as her own. They shared many wonderful years together.

An avid outdoorsman, Vince found joy in nature. He especially loved fishing and hunting, often spending time out in the woods or on the water with his family and friends. 

His witty sense of humor, charismatic spirit, and kind heart made him the life of every gathering. Vince never missed an opportunity for a good story or a hearty laugh, and he welcomed guests into his home with open arms and a warm smile.

Vince leaves behind his children: Carole, Rejean (Lyne), Suzanne (Wish), Barbara (deceased), Linda, and Julie (Pierre); his grandchildren: Tracy (Dave), Shawn (Renee), Nicole, Melissa (Dwight), Megan (Ben), Cynthia (Tyler), Corey (Zeta), Chantal, and Patrick; and his great-grandchildren: Angel, Alisha, Stephane, Braden, Elliot, Lovanie, Calvin, Leona, and Scarlett.

Vince leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

You always called us "mes anges tout en or" and now you are ours. 

May you rest in peace.
