It is with great sadness that the family of Laurent Rainville son of Léo & Valeda Rainville (predeceased) announce his sudden passing on August 19th, 2026.
He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife Suzane Stephens, his daughters Amy & Holly Stephens and his granddaughter Lilly Roy. He was so looking forward to meeting his newest granddaughter any day now.
Laurent leaves behind many siblings whom he loved very much. Brother of Etienne (Carmen), Gates (Debbie), Diane (Marcel Levac), Denise (Norm Courtemanche), Mario (Jocelyn), Carole (Mike Fortin) & Yvan. He will be missed by many many nieces and nephews.
Laurent (“Larry”) will always be remembered for the pride he put in any endeavor he took on. Whether he was “Macgyvering” his girls’ bikes, or building his family a home, he did it with pride, love and most certainly precision. He was the first to lend a helping hand and he did not leave till the job was done!
Many will know him for his years at La Cuisine Cabinets, then later his own established business WoodMaster. And that he sure was! Retirement allowed him to focus his energy on his vegetable garden and like anything made by Larry, Larry’s tomatoes are legendary, and his gigantic sunflowers were really his biggest flex & they opened the day after we said our unforeseen goodbyes. May you think of Laurent with every sunflower you notice opening up this season.
