It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Bonnie Lee Prudhomme (nee Huys), 71 years, while holding her daughter’s hand, as she passed peacefully at Extendicare York on Saturday, February 26th, 2022.
Beloved wife of 31 years to Wilfred Prudhomme (predeceased) of Sudbury. Loving Mother to Leslie Ann Huys Palladino (Robert Palladino) of Sudbury. Cherished Memère to Brendan and Christian.
Will be sadly missed by her twin sister Barbara Huys Remy (Gerard Remy) of St. Thomas, On and her niece and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Cyril and Helen Huys of Sudbury.
A special thank you to the entire Prudhomme family, of Sudbury for their constant love, guidance and help over the years, as well as their continued support and strength.
She will also be missed by her extended family at Extendicare York 5th floor, whose compassion and care was much appreciated. She had a wonderful team of caregivers and nurses that we are forever grateful for.
Bonnie was an active volunteer at Extendicare York many years ago, where she met her beloved Wilfred, her best friend and soulmate, with whom she spent many wonderful years. Their true love story was an inspiration to all that had a chance to witness it.
She loved to craft, paint, and write short stories. She enjoyed sharing her creative works with all those she loved, and she always surrounded herself with roses and her special furry friends.
There will be no visitation or funeral at the family’s request, and she will be laid to rest with the love of her life in the spring. Donations in Bonnie’s memory can be made directly to the Autism Society of Ontario https://dev.autismontario.com/chapters/sudbury-and-district would be appreciated.
Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Bonnie. I lived across from Bonnie, her sister Barbara, and their parents and spent most of my childhood at her house. Those were great years.
Bonnie had a gentle soul and will be missed. Bonnie is now in God’s loving arms. RIP
