It is with heavy hearts that the family announces his passing with family by his side at Finlandia Village, Sudbury, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the age of 85 years.
Son of the late Ernest and the late Alexina (nee Pilon) Poulin. Loving father to Joanne Poulin (Marshall McCracken) and Jennifer-Lynn (Michael McCracken). Cherished Pepère to Jean-Marc, Marie-Josée (Shaun), Jeffrey (Jessica), Calvin and Brooke-Lynn. Adored great-grandfather to Zoey, Taylor and Elektra. Dear brother to Victor and his family, predeceased by his following siblings Laurentia, Dora, Alice, Jean-Baptiste, Martial, Lionel and Germain. Fern will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Fern was a hard-working man who was employed at INCO with over 27 years of service in the Welding and Carpentry Division of the Garson Mine. Fern loved the outdoors, a good old family barbeque, listening to country music and especially camping and fishing with family and friends.
Fern was a well-known musician; he was a gifted fiddler and displayed his passion whenever he played.
