Pitura, Graziella

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Pitura (nee Parisotto), on July 27th, 2026 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury. Grace was very courageous, strong, and always positive as she battled through her cancer.

Beloved wife of Paul Pitura (predeceased 2011) and cherished mother of Joseph Pitura.

Dear daughter of Bepi and Lida (nee Bravo) Parisotto (both predeceased). Dear sister of Eveleen (Dan Cooper) and sister-in-law of Susan (Allan Vickman). Sadly missed by her Zios, Zias, and numerous cousins from both of the Parisotto and Bravo families. Also, sorely missed by her nieces and nephews from the Cooper and Vickman families as well.

Grace loved meeting the public as a saleslady, taking great pride in selling jewellery to her many clients for 45 years, including 25 years at Birks Jewellers in Sudbury, during her earlier years. She was very sociable, witty, and made friends everywhere she went. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Donations in her memory can be made to the Salvation Army Food Bank (directly), or the Maison McCulloch Hospice (click here). As per Grace’s wishes, a private family burial will take place at a later date at the Civic Memorial Cemetery.

  3. Am a former classmate and neighbour to Paul. He and I together with Leonard T would routinely play floor hockey on Sundays in the ladies beverage bar at the former Paris House.

I did not know Grace, however thought some remembrance would show respect to the Pitura family.
