In Loving Memory of Aurel Pilon, 65 years who passed peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Survived by his wife Lila Pilon (nee Girard). Loving father of Aurel (Shellie Schelhas), and Cassandra Scheltema (Jeremy). Cherished grandfather of Braylyn, James, Travis, Taylor, Axton, and Denise. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Gerry (Debbie), Rejean (Juliette), Gabrielle (Kevin McPhee), Gaetanne (Robin Brightman), Roger (predeceased) (Nicole), Lucien (predeceased) (Irene predeceased), and Richard (predeceased). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Sudbury, he was the son of the late Romeo and Denise Pilon (nee Gratton). Despite the many challenges he faced in his battle with lung cancer, his determination and dignity were unwavering especially in the presence of his family and friends. Aurel’s legacy will be remembered for living life to its fullest and his free spirit which left a lasting impression on everyone who had the opportunity to meet him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made directly to a charity of your choice.

My heart goes out to his entire family and friends, I’m glad I got to meet him may he Rest in Peace. Knowing so many people loved and respected him. He will surely be missed by so many. My condolences again to his family.
