September 10, 1975 to June 8, 2026 (50 yrs)
After a brief and courageous battle with a very rare and aggressive cancer, the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved Shane, on June 8, 2026.
He was the loving son of Marilyn (Deforge) Perron (David Deschamps) and Alain Perron, both predeceased.
Shane was the caring big brother of Natalie Rego (Kevin) and Dan Perron (Dominique). He was a quiet but doting uncle of Ariel, Annie (predeceased) and Isaac Rego and Mathieu and Mackenzie Perron.
Married to his true love, soul mate and life partner for over 30 years, their commitment and unconditional love was a testament that Shane and Amy (Jocondo-Mallet) would be together forever. Amy was by his side until his last breath
Shane was a hero to his three children. Bradley, Brodie (Lexxie) and his “best friend” Lacey will now have a dad with a new role of guardian angel. Shane was proud of his children
Shane is survived by his mother in law Arlene Mallet and predeceased by his Nana and Papa, Leah and Ernist Deforge. He will be sorely missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Throughout his life, Shane always said he didn’t have many friends, but the ones he had were genuine. Darren Cleaver, Jason Latva-aro, Steve Fila, Chris Forsythe and Andrew Roy are childhood friends that made a huge impact on Shane. He never forgot them.
In later years Shane became good friends with Derek Laakso, Rick Goheen and Jim and Lori Madigan. He spoke fondly of his friends often.
Shane was a proud, dedicated and honorable employee at Pioneer Construction since May of 1995. He was demanding of his team and expected perfection. His goal was to create and provide a healthy and safe working environment so everyone could go home to their families at the end of a very long workday. To say he was organized and set in his ways is an understatement. Shane performed with the utmost passion and a whole lot of O.C.D. He will be missed
While employed at Pioneer, Shane developed a bond and brotherhood with the likes of Malcolm Croskery, Jessica Decata, Clayton Libbey and Ryan Keller. Over the past few weeks while in palliative care his “brothers” supported Shane and Amy and their visits lifted his spirits on some very dark days. For that, his family is forever grateful.
Last, but certainly not least, we want to recognize the amazing care from ALL personnel at HSN on the 4th floor North Tower. Compassion was evident and appreciated. Special thanks to the team from MAID who provided Shane with a calm, peaceful and dignified passing on his terms.
Shane has requested cremation and a celebration of Life which will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted in Shane’s memory at the The Canadian Cancer Society https://cancer.ca/en/ways-to-give or The Heart and Stroke Foundation https://www.heartandstroke.ca/donations.
Our dearest Shane, You’ve earned your wings, your pain and suffering are over. Fly with the Eagles!.
Forever Loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered
