Paradis, Françoise (nee Fortin)

1925-2021

In loving memory of Françoise Paradis (nee Fortin), 96 years of age, who passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at St. Joseph’s villa. Beloved wife of the late Laurent Paradis. Loving mother of Denis (Louise Lalonde) and Rachelle (Lawrie Oliphant). Much loved Mimi to Céline, Nadia, Renée and Josée. Great grandmother to Simon, Olivier, Reagan and Nixon. Françoise was born in Hull, Quebec and worked as a clerk for the Federal Government for a number of years before marrying Laurent and moving to Sudbury where she raised her family. She was devoted mother and mimi and loved family trips whether it was camping at her favorite provincial park or travelling to the warm Caribbean. She leaves behind her sister Monique (feu Jacques Laframboise) and sisters in law Marcella and Lea. She will be joining her parents Philippe and Irene Villeneuve, as well as her siblings Jacqueline (Jean-Paul Bernier), Marcel (Lea), Huguette (Maurice Dagenais), Robert (Marcella) and Roger (Denise Bigras). The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa, her second family for the past 16 years who provided her with excellent care, as well as the ladies of the Circle of Care who were there for her when the family couldn’t be. At her request, there will be no service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to St. Joseph’s Villa and would be greatly appreciated.
