In loving memory of Leo Alexander Ouimette, who passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Elaine Ouimette (nee Paradise), predeceased in 2020. Leo leaves behind a son, Peter Ouimette, predeceased in 2023 (Dawn), and 2 daughters Debbie Ouimette, and Dorothy Lamothe. He is predeceased by his parents, Alfred, and Amanda. Loving brother of Omer, Art, Frances, Andrew, Adolphe, Blanche, Mona, all predeceased, Maurice, and Emanual. Loving Grandfather to Brian (Candice), Darryl, Christopher, Melissa (Drew), Mitch, and Jamie-Lynn. Loving Great-Grandfather to Deakon, Colby, Emilia, Bryson, and Kinley.
He was born in Sudbury and worked for INCO in Garson for 32 years. After retiring from INCO, he moved to Bigwood, where he worked for Flat Rapids Camp, Hartley Bay House, and Hartley Bay Waste Management. Leo loved spending time in his garage, making garden boxes for his wife and riding around on his tractor, but most importantly, helping everyone.
Leo is now reunited with his beloved wife, Elaine. They were married for 64 years. He will be remembered by his friends and neighbours from Hartley Bay Road who loved and cherished him. A big thank you goes out to the staff on 8 North, at Health Sciences North who went above for his care during the final days.
At Leo and Elaine’s wishes there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Cremation services provided by Rangers Cremation.
