In loving memory of Alberta O’Neill, her family announces her passing on Saturday, October 15th, 2022. She was surrounded by family and the caregivers of St. Joseph’s Villa. Born August 9th, 1938, in the Tracadie area of Northern New Brunswick. Daughter of Alexandre & Emerique, stepdaughter of Elisee and sister to 13 siblings. She was proud of her Acadian roots and took them with her when she moved to Sudbury. In Sudbury she started the next part of her journey, had five children, Fran (Jay Gordon), Kevin, David predeceased 2020, Susan (Jamie Chiasson) and Kelly (Kim). She was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren. Alberta was proud of the work she did as a Health Care Aide at Extendicare. She recognized the wonderful care she received during her time at St. Joseph’s Villa, and was grateful for the new friends, especially Sam she met while there. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Simple Wishes of the North (1106 Kingsway, Sudbury, ON) on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 from 6pm to 8:30pm.
