Nikitin, Norma

It is with great sorrow the Nikitin (Price) family announces the passing of our family matriarch Norma Beatrice Nikitin on September 28, 2021 at the age of 80 years old surrounded by her loving family. Norma “Nanni” daughter to the late Bernice and Raymond Price, is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years John Nikitin; loving mother of Jayme, Tjondra, John Jr. (Brigitte); devoted grandmother to Amanda, Matthew, Meghan, Sean, Jonah, and Alexi; cherished great grandmother to Jacob, Jaxyn, Myles, and Guy; dear sister to Lenny predeceased (Shirley), Lorne (Gerry), Nancy predeceased (Dave), Bobby (Linda), Gerald (Marie) both predeceased. Devoted to helping her community by giving back in numerous ways, Norma especially loved to spread happiness by helping in hospice, donating to the Women’s Shelter, the Soup Kitchen and providing children’s gift boxes for those less fortunate over the holidays. Her selflessness, generosity, kindness and strength were inspiring and admirable to everyone she touched. Norma was a pillar of strength full of positivity, determination and motivation for her family, friends, and strangers alike. We wish to give our thanks and gratitude to all the medical staff who took such good care of Norma during her time at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. At Norma’s request, there will be no funeral service. However, a Celebration of her Life is to be held on October 16th, 2021 between 2:00 – 7:00 pm at 2989 Henri Street (light lunch will be provided). Those of you who know Norma knew she had a passion for life and never slowed down by any of her ailments. She was a fighter and determined to experience everything life had to offer especially when she could do it with those she loved most. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Sudbury Soup Kitchen (344 Elgin St., Sudbury, ON P3E 3N9), and/or Sudbury Women’s Centre (174 Douglas St Suite 201, Sudbury, ON P3E 1G1).
