June 4, 1949-September 17, 2023
It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Judy to be in heaven with our late father Eino Myllymaki, on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Beloved daughter of the late Chester Brown (Jean) of Ottawa and daughter in law of the late Taimi Paivio of Sudbury. Loving mother to Karl Myllymaki (Lisa) of Val Caron and Katie Myllymaki (James) of Elliot Lake. Loving grandmother to Gabrielle Myllymaki (Alex), Julien Myllymaki (Riley) of Sudbury and Kira of Elliot Lake. Beloved great grandmother to Addy and Rowen. Sister to Jane Sigsbee (Bruce), the late Charles Brown (Darleen), David Brown (Louise) and Ethel Fournier (Cliff), Arnold Haapala (Maureen), Harold Haapala (Bev) and Eila Myllymaki. Judy was a retired, beloved teacher in Sudbury. Then Elliot Lake and changed the lives of many students. Her passion was family and friends and would help a stranger out. She deeply missed our father Eino who she can now be with again. As young kids, she would sing the song “you are my sunshine” to calm us. Well Momma the sun won’t shine as bright without you here but when it rains, and we see a rainbow we will know it’s you getting rid of all the grey. Special thanks to Health Sciences North for their amazing care and compassion. And to her best friends and neighbors Adam and Ingria of Elliot Lake for the love and warmth you gave our mom, we are blessed to have you. Rest easy beautiful Momma, Love you always. Donations in Judy’s memory can be made directly to the Health Sciences North Foundation https://hsnfoundation.com/.
Our sympathies go out to you on the passing of your sister. Losing a sibling is such a painful thing. I know that you are surrounded by loving and supportive family but, all the same, there will always be a space in your heart for her. Mike and Ann
