It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and dad Howard “Howie” Mulligan formerly of Levack on Friday, June 9, 2023.
Howard is predeceased by his father Clayton, mother Noella and sister Joyce. He is missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Gail (nee Koski), by his daughters; Cindy, Tina (Marc Rockburn) and Crystal (Marcel Brosseau). Cherished grandfather of Shanleigh and Sean, Ethan and Dawson. Dearly loved brother of Garry (Gisele), Iveson (Cathy), Gail (Pierre), Linda, and Roberta (Charlie). Also sadly missed by his brothers-in-law Brian Koski (Alice) and Kurt Koski (Wendy) and by his 11 nieces and nephews.
Howie was born in Fort-Coulonge, Quebec. He worked at INCO for 32 years where he retired from McCreedy West Mine in 1997. Howie was an active member of the Levack community where he was a volunteer firefighter, school bus driver and a past member of the Legion #503. Many will remember Howie’s friendly nature, big smile, and those ‘baby blues’. Everyone who knew Howie, knew about his love for sports and especially the Boston Bruins. He did everything he could to provide for his family, he was supportive, loving and invincible to all that loved him. We miss him.
As per Howard’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held in Fort-Coulonge, Quebec.
In lieu of donations, if you have any “change” to spare, please pay it forward to anyone in need in honour of Howie.
