Mulcahey, Michael Patrick

Michael Patrick Mulcahey, born August 14, 1952, was a fun-loving, charismatic, and hard-working family man. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of this wonderful man, on July 25, 2023 at Maison McCulloch Hospice.

Beloved husband of Leslie “Becky”(nee MacKinnon), adored father of Ryan (Angel Brazier) and Tara (Ryan McNamara), and proud grandfather of Gavin, Conall, Kian, Penelope, Brannach, and predeceased by Isabella. Loving son of Robert and Rita (nee Fulin) both predeceased, and sibling to Sandra and Rosanne. Cherished nephew to Linda Fulin (Bill) Rossetto, Patrick (Dara), Mike (Doreen), Theresa, Diana, Rosita and predeceased by Father Harris, Sister Celia, Lloyd, Lawrence, and Aldo (Ramona). Sadly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and special friends Jerry Kosmerly and Jimmy Kolios.

Married for 45 years to his soulmate, they clicked from the beginning and demonstrated a true love that was easy. They shared many adventures together from horseback riding on a Hawaiian volcano to skiing the mountains of Utah. Michael’s loving, kind and charismatic personality left an impressionable mark on many. He was a well-spoken, true gentleman with the right words for every situation. With his sense of humour, he always had a joke up his sleeve and a story to entertain. Both, in his career of 25 years with Bell, and in his personal life, his dedication and ingenuity allowed him to never shy away from a project. He passed on his knowledge, values, and discipline to achieve goals to many. When Michael became ill, his love of the water and sailing turned into a passion for lighthouses and the sea.

Michael’s warm smile, genuine conversation, and endearing character will truly be missed.

The family is incredibly grateful to all those that contributed to Michael’s care over the past 18 years. Thank you to the many CCAC PSW’s, with a special thanks to Stacey and Kelly towards the end. Thank you to the nurses of Bayshore Home Health Care, especially Betty Ann. Thank you to the caring staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice who aided in the loving care of Michael. His family is thankful for your compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Michael, may be made to Maison McCulloch Hospice.
