Milani, Jody “Joe”

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Jody “Joe” Milani at the age of 48. He is survived by his parents Vic and Joanne, brother Thomas (wife Stephanie), nephew Dillon and longtime loving partner Angela Ackerland. Joe was very passionate about many sports he played in the Special Olympics. He had many, many medals hanging on his walls that he was very proud of. In keeping with Joe’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Sudbury Special Olympics.

  2. I was saddened to hear about Joe. I have fond memories of family gatherings in Sudbury and Britt. He was strong as hell, and I certainly didn’t want to get him angry with me, even though he was five years younger!

Thinking of Aunt Joan, Uncle Vic, Tom, Stephanie and Dillon tonight.

  6. My heart is broken for the loss of this kind soul. Even though I did not get to see him often, he was still family and in my heart. I have fond memories of growing up with Joe, at camp and at his parents place and hearing about his super swimming ablities. He will be missed.
