Mihajic, Isabel (nee Lahaie)

May 10, 1952 – March 10, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Isabel Mihajic (nee Lahaie) who left this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 72 years old.
Isabel was the beloved and devoted wife of Ronald Mihajic, whose unwavering love and support carried her through life’s journey. She was the cherished mother of Karrie Downey (Shawn Downey) and grandmother to Kayla and Sarah Cardinal; Greg Mihajic (Dawn) and their children, Nova and Hanna; and Tracy Mihajic (Chris Woiduma) and their daughter, Laurel. Her family was the heart of her world, and she embraced her role as a mother and grandmother with boundless love, wisdom, and support.
Isabel will be remembered as the most loving and supportive mother, a woman whose kindness and strength shaped the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She found her greatest peace in the waters and nature of Tower Bay, a place that will forever echo with her spirit.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for close family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation directly to Maison McCullough Hospice https://maisonsudburyhospice.org/donate in her memory.
Her love will forever ripple through the waters of Windy Lake and the hearts of those who loved her.

  3. Losing your mom is an unimaginable loss, especially when you were really blessed with one of the great ones. We always appreciated Isabel’s open arms and open home and the way she made all of us feel very special and welcome. She had a way about her that was infectious and loving and always fun. You will think about her over beautiful sunsets, when you hear a certain song or when you just get a sense of her spirit. She will be missed but never forgotten.
