Joseph was born in Zagreb, Croatia and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in the 1950’s.  He worked varying jobs, finally settling in Sudbury, where he worked as a miner at INCO until a workplace accident resulted in a change of career. He is predeceased by his parents Slavko and Hannah, wife Pierrette, brother Walter, stepson Marcel, and stepdaughter Celeste. He is survived by his sister-in-law Doreen, sister-in-law Claire (Rick), son Joseph (Sheryl), daughters Tina, Shirley (Paul), Sandra (Jim), and Jennifer (Greg), stepsons Robert, Jean Guy, and Marco (Gloria), and many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Joe loved spending much of his time in Biscotasing, hunting moose and fishing, which spanned over many years.  He also spent many years hunting deer on Manitoulin Island, where he shared a hunting camp.  Joe loved large gatherings with family and friends and was known to play a competitive game of cribbage.

Joseph will be missed and remembered by many.

As per Joe’s wishes, there was no viewing or service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
