Mentrycki, Tania

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our daughter Tania, on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Health Sciences North at the age of 43 years. Loving daughter of Kazimir “Ken” and Barbara. Dear sister of Christine (Joe) Allard and Zenon (Trina) Mentrycki. Cherished aunt of Kassia, Cooper and Liam.

Throughout her journey, Tania has encountered many people who have been extraordinary in their profession that have provided her with much comfort and care throughout her life. We would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto who cared for her for 11 years. Dr. Fay now passed, assumed Tania’s care and did a wonderful job, Dr. Pitre, Dr. Shehata and Dr. Singh all of the Cancer Center, Dr. Nistco of the Dialysis Unit as well as all of the nurses who took care of her in the hospital throughout her life to make her comfortable. We have received excellent care from Bayshore Home Care and all other extended services. Most of all we would like to thank all of our extended family and friends, Tania’s best friends, whom she loved dearly, we are all blessed to have you in our lives.

Thank you to all from the bottom of our hearts.

  3. Ken, Barb, Chooch and Zenon please accept our condolences for your loss. Words cannot begin to express what you are all going through now. However, you can feel some comfort in knowing that Tania was a remarkable human being. The first word that comes to mind when thinking of Tania is brave. From a young age she was forced to deal with adversity. The courage and strength she displayed with her health challenges was extraordinary. Tania was and will forever be an inspiration to all of us. Tania was also a fantastic baker, whose cakes were the greatest!!! Although she is gone, she will never be forgotten.
