The family announces with great sorrow the sudden passing of Don in Dowling on Wednesday, September 22^nd, 2021 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband for 50 years of Joan (nee Therrien). Son of George and Laura (nee Ratz) both predeceased. Son in law of Muryald “Joe” and Anne Therrien both predeceased. Loving father of Clayton (the late Samantha) and Melissa (Jason). Cherished grandfather of Julia and Troy. Dear brother of Nancy Hollmer (David Bruce) and Harvey Bradley (Linda). Predeceased by his siblings, Gwen Gravelle (late Ralph), Madelaine Murray, Maribel Dubois (late Norm), Elgin McKee, Marion Sumers, Ted (late Jeanne), Keith (Rita), Kenneth (Joyce) and Mollie Legault (late Armand). Dear brother in law to Patricia (predeceased), Corrine (late Alex), Janet (Clarence), Mayva (Andre), the late Marlene (Kenney) and Teresa (Daniel). Caring godfather to Joey Castonguay and Paul Legault. He will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives and many friends.  

Don started his career working with CP and retired at INCO/Vale. He made many great lasting friendships after being at Vale for 32 years. Don was an avid gardener and also enjoyed hunting, but most of all he enjoyed time with his family and friends.

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be Celebrated at Larchwood Memorial United Church (15 Douglas Cres., Dowling, ON) On Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm.

Donations in Don’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association and would be appreciated by the family.
