In Loving Memory of Jocelyn Mary Muriel McInnes (nee Desjardins) 

It is with great sadness that the family of Jocelyn Mary Muriel McInnes (nee Desjardins) announce her passing on Monday, September 19, 2022, at the age of 90, at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, ON with loving family at her side.

Beloved mother of John Scott McInnes (Carina) and predeceased by Kelly Ann McInnes (Bill). Cherished daughter of the late William and Florange Desjardins. Loving sister of Rhea Harris (Ron) (predeceased), Colleen Desjardins, and William Desjardins. Loving Noni of John Kosar (Leeann), and Billy Kosar (Becca). Cherished great-grandmother of Colt and Bennett Kosar.  Jocelyn was also a loving aunt, cousin, dear friend, and community member. 

She spent her working career as a teacher with a special love and aptitude for music. Jocelyn had a passion for singing, playing the piano, and conducting music. She was a beloved member of the Northern Echoes Senior Choir as well as her choir at Saint Patrick's Church. She was also a member of the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario as well as the Retired Teachers of Ontario. 

Jocelyn was a kind, loving, and generous soul who brightened the lives of everyone she encountered. Jocelyn lived a long and full life who loved spending time with her family and friends. We will all miss her dearly.

The family will share time together but as per Jocelyn's wishes there will be no funeral service.

  3. I sang with Jocelyn in the St. Patrick’s choir and at many teacher functions as well as Northern Echoes. We enjoyed getting together at Tim’s with the group. My condolences to the family. I will miss her smile and beautiful voice.

  9. On behalf of our St. Patrick’s CWL ladies, we are saddened to hear of Jocelyn’s passing. She was a longtime member of our Catholic Women’s League with 30 + years of service. We are having a mass said in Jocelyn’s honour on Thursday, October 6th at 9:00 a.m. St. Patrick’s church in Sudbury.
