Mason, Alice Evelyn (née Jamieson)

Alice Evelyn Mason (née Jamieson), 94, is now home, in the loving arms of Christ Jesus in heaven. Born in Almonte, Ontario to her parents Raymond and Evelyn Jamieson, her sister Lorna Johnson (Donald) and her brother John ‘’Jonny’’ (Alison) all predeceased.  She will be fondly remembered by her 10 nieces and nephews. Alice was married later in life and was the beloved wife of the late Jack Mason and has a stepson Glen Mason (Elsie). She will await her spiritual grand children Anouck, Audréanne and many others when they meet again in heaven.  For 35 years Alice was a high school teacher in Sudbury, followed by giving the next 35 years of her life to the Lord.  Teaching others how to pray, the Word of God (faith in action) and winning souls for Christ. Alice taught multiple bible studies, where she earned the title of ‘’Nana’’ as she would lovingly help anyone in need. She leaves behind multiple seeds that have been sown in the hearts of the people she has mentored, discipled, over the years.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Glad Tidings Church, upper chapel, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:00 am followed by a light lunch. In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made directly to KFM radio at  www.kfmradio.ca or by cheques payable to KFM Radio, 2150 LaSalle Blvd. Sudbury, ON, P3A 2A7.

  2. I was saddened to hear of Alice’s passing. She was our next door neighbour on Maki Avenue until she moved to a retirement home. I have very fond memories of Alice recounting the history of the area and the often wry anecdotes that she shared about life and her career as a teacher.
