In loving memory of Allan Gigs Lee, 60 years, who passed away Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, Sudbury after a courageous battle with cancer and the disease of addiction. Beloved life partner of Margaret Dupont. Loving father of Taylor Dupont and Ryan Dupont. Allan lived for his grandchildren, Keydan Dupont and Lila Dupont-Rossi. Loving son of Richard and Joyce Lee, both predeceased. Dear brother of Kenneth Lee predeceased (Cecile “Bobbie”), and Carl Lee (Louise) and brother-in-law to Cindy Scoville (Cory). Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, especially cherished by Amanda Leblanc (Sue-Lynn).
Allan had the most brilliant blue eyes that could light up any room, and a deep passion for the outdoors, woodworking, and sleeping under the stars. He possessed a generous spirit and adventurous heart and loved fiercely. Those who knew Allan beyond his addiction saw a sensitive and deeply-caring soul who fought harder than most will ever know. We are heartbroken by this senseless loss, but take comfort in knowing he is finally at peace.
Addiction is a disease, not a personal weakness or choice, and in honour of Allan’s life, we ask that you educate yourself on the realities of substance use, and treat those still struggling with empathy, and judge less.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and PSWs at Health Sciences North and the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their care and compassion. A celebration of Allan’s life will be held at a later date.
